Day 6 - Zion
Longer drive today to park, about 90 minutes. Awesome scenery:

Zion does not allow private cars into park. And parking in Springdale outside Visitor Center is $40!
But the shuttle system does work very well. Took about 15 minutes to go up the canyon from Visitors Center to last (9th) stop. From there we took riverside walk, further up canyon, 2.2 miles round trip. This picture is at end of our walk, from here people rent waders and hike further up the river:
Took shuttle down 2 stops and took another 0.5 mile hike to the lodge. Had some very good sandwiches in their restaurant. Back on shuttle, spent some time in museum, mainly because it started raining.
Shuttle again back to where we started at Visitor Center. Mid afternoon, weather iffy, done everything we wanted, time to visit Zion Brewing in Springdale!
Drove home same way we came out. Through a 1.1 mile long tunnel built in the 1930s. Here's some views of the road prior to the tunnel:
Same spot now looking up:
About one mile later we entered the tunnel:
Our trailer is 11 foot 2 inches tall. You can pay $15 for a permit where they make the tunnel one way and let you drive down the middle. We had to wait about 10 minutes b4 we could enter, they sell lot of those permits! But I'm glad we didn't have our trailer.
