Day 12 Canyonlands

Day started with Justin, the truck mobile tech, trying to find the beeping cause on the truck.  After about 3 hours and not finding root cause, he called Frank the RV tech.  This was a tough nut to crack - intermittent problem and not clear whether it's truck or trailer root cause.  Here's the two of them working the issue:

Turns out it IS a truck issue, this power module for the trailer brake system is defective:

Justin made arrangements for me - Chevrolet dealer in Grand Junction has part and will install it for me Monday afternoon.  That works, tomorrow we drive to Montrose CO, close to Grand Junction.  Likely beeping all the way.

By early afternoon then we were were back to being tourists.  Drove to Canyonlands Park:

Did usual Visitors Center tour.  Decided to do scenic drive with a couple of hikes.

First hike was Mesa Arch.  This Arch gets more interesting because the other side of it is a multiple thousands of feet drop.

Vince stayed back from the edge here.

Then we continued down scenic drive to Grand View.

There are actually three different plateaus here - one where we are standing, the dirt roads you see below, then the huge canyons with the Colorado River at the bottom.

We then drove back to Moab and stopped by the restaurant we really liked from 2 nights ago, Trailhead.  Food was great..  We both got a beer there, double IPA by Red Rock Brewing, that we liked so much we stopped at Utah state liquor store after dinner and bought 12 more pints!

We sure have enjoyed Moab, going to miss this place!
